Ken Lim Charged with molesting woman at Hype Records office

Ken is accused of touching the breast of a 25 years old woman in his office at Hyper Records at Henderson Rod on the evening of 23 November 2021. He was charged with molestation on 30 March 2023.

The woman’s identity is protected by a gag order. Ken’s lawyer Mr. Navin Naidu of Dentons Rodyk said Ken denies the charge and he would not me pleading guilty. The lawyer requested urgent trial dates to be fixed.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Chong Kee En said that For the case to be expedited, there were no special reasons. However, Ken was given a date to return to court for a pre-trial conference on 14 April 2023. ken remains out on bail of S$10,000.

The court got Ken’s application regarding leaving Singapore. His lawyer told that Ken planned to travel to Phuket from 25 May to 3 June 2023 for a work-related trip to settle property management matters on the island.

The court didn’t object to his application. The court allowed him to live in Singapore with additional bail of S$10,000 and surrender his passport upon return. If he was found guilty, he can face a jail term of up to two years.
